If a leak occurs in the gas supply system, a warning in good time is crucial - so consumers can identify leaking gas immediately and take the appropriate action. Therefore, when we developed Gasodor® S-Free, we attached great importance to an unmistakable smell with a distinct warning character. And this is what makes Gasodor® S-Free different from all known everyday odours. It rules out any confusion reliably and ensures that the smell is immediately perceived as an alarm signal.

The main features of Gasodor® S-Free is its distinct warning odour. The odour remains constant even during long residence times in pipelines, for example in summer or in stub lines.
Gasodor® S-Free was developed as part of a long-lasting cooperation with Ruhrgas AG Essen and the German Association of Gas and Water Industry (DGVW) in Bonn – a cooperation that was successful. Since its development, Gasodor® S-Free has proven itself in laboratory tests and extensive field tests and has been in use in countless municipal networks since 2004.
GASODOR® S-FREE IS CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO DIN EN ISO 13734 AND LISTED IN THE DVGW'S WORKSHEET G280.
